Heather Pillsbury is an accomplished Christian songwriter, worship leader, and recording artist. She has lead worship for countless churches, congregations, and schools throughout her career.

Heather is passionate about leading others into completely unhindered worship and writing songs that capture the heart of all believers. She states, “I want to write music for the church that is within reach of every congregation, music for worship and encouragement.”

She also believes that music is a powerful tool for reaching the lost for Christ. “Sometimes a song will get through to someone’s heart where a hundred sermons have fallen on deaf ears. What we do as worship leaders is so important in that we lead others into this fellowship with the Lord, while also at the same time we have the opportunity to introduce people to the God that we worship. It’s a huge responsibility and truly humbling.”

Heather’s desire to speak truth and worship with abandon is evident in the music she writes. Her soulful, passionate voice combines with compelling lyrics and engaging melodies, inviting the listener to draw near to the Lord.

Her first EP, “Draw Us Near,” was released in 2014, and her first music video, for the moving single “This I Know,” was released in 2017. Heather released her first full-length album of all original music in 2018, “Prone to Wander.” These projects have been met with positive reviews and success.

She has received several awards for her work as a vocalist and songwriter, including placing as a finalist in the National American Traditions Competition in 2012 and being named the GMA Immerse Female Artist/Writer of the year in 2017.

Heather resides just outside of Athens, Georgia with her husband, Nathan and their son, Oliver. She currently serves as Director of Worship and Media at Life Church of Athens, and teaches music at Athens Christian School.
